The life of a construction worker can be very dangerous. They work with heavy equipment in often-dangerous places with many possibilities of falling or being hit by falling objects. There are many different ways a construction worker can be hurt and in many construction accidents the injuries are often very serious. Most construction companies make safety a priority, but despite their efforts, there are still thousands of construction zone accidents and injuries every year. When someone is hurt on the job then they might want to consider filing a personal injury claim in order to help pay for their medical bills and other damages.
A 35-year-old construction worker was hurt recently after a construction accident involving a crane. The accident happened when the man got pinned below a crane outrigger, which is one of the beams that are used to support large construction cranes. The man did survive the incident but he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The man became trapped under the bar when the crane collapsed. The bar reportedly weighed about 200 pounds and he was trapped for at least a couple of minutes beneath the bar, according to witnesses.
Some of the man’s co-workers were able to get the bar off the man before paramedics arrived. At the time of this report, the case of the crash was still not known. However, the Occupational Safety and Health administration (OSHA) is now investigating the incident in order to determine what happened and whether or not anyone was negligent in the incident. If investigators determine that someone is responsible then this man might want to file a personal injury claim or lawsuit.
