Authorities want to keep drugs off the streets, away from children and others in the community. Michigan law enforcement officials have been working hard to keep drugs out of neighborhoods. Investigators have been following up on leads and obtaining search warrants to put drug manufacturers and sellers behind bars. A recent drug bust in Crawford County has led to four arrests.
In February, officers from the Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group (STING), with assistance from Grayling Public Safety, the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post Canine Unit and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, conducted searches at two homes in Grayling Township. A traffic stop took place as well.
The four suspects were arrested on various drug charges. The prosecutor has charged the suspects with multiple methamphetamine crimes—all felonies—including delivery, conspiracy, possession, possession with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
